“TOAST”
Starting up again on 26 July will be our popular Theatre On A ShoesTring – “TOAST”. Each month, people come along and have fun. Yes, really! Guaranteed!! Cos there’s no Pushy Producer or Directorial Director or Cajoling Committee telling everyone what the show will be and what cast is needed, etc, etc: we turn the system on its head and agree amongst ourselves what kind of things we want to do in the coming 3 or 4 weeks. The emphasis is firmly on enjoying ourselves, and so far we’ve had activities such as rehearsed play-readings, performed play-readings (with script in hand) and even a full-blown one-act play performance. We usually focus on one-act plays or short scenes from full-length plays, so if you fancy getting a small taste of the theatre, maybe through reading, acting or even directing a piece, then this is your opportunity.
