Chairman’s message

Thank you for visiting the Hook Players’ website and I hope you will find all the information you need. We are based in Hook, Hampshire and put on our productions in the local Elizabeth Hall which has recently been re-built. This means we have excellent facilities and a much larger stage to work on.
Being involved in Hook Players doesn’t just mean being ‘on show’ on the stage – we are always looking for new talent and there is something for everyone and anyone. Take your pick for the list!
Director / Producer / set build and painting / scenery changes
prompt / props / front of house / box office / publicity
costumes / make-up and, of course...
actors
We don’t meet every week except during a production when rehearsals take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with the set build usually on the same days. We also hold monthly play readings, usually held in a member’s home, which is a great introduction to our group. Your commitment therefore depends on the role you have chosen. Some of our members can only commit to working front of house for one of the performance evenings, but all help is valued so it is up to you...
We also have very well subscribed social events with something going on almost every month.
So, go on, give it a go and send an e-mail to contactus@hookplayers.co.uk now! New members are always welcome.
